By creating an account you agree that Save Save may collect, use and store your information to provide the Save Save platform, rewards, savings tools and related services. Your information is handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
1. Introduction
Save Save is a product of Chillcrest Pty Ltd (ABN 54 622 589 584), trading as Save Save (we, us, our). We are committed to protecting the privacy of our users in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, hold, and disclose your personal information when you use the Save Save platform, including our mobile app, website at savesave.com.au, and related services.
By creating a Save Save account, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Save Save.
2. What Information We Collect
2.1 Information you provide directly
- Full name
- Email address
- Password (stored in encrypted form — we never have access to your password in readable form)
- Savings goal type and target amount
- Target date for your savings goal
- Manual savings entries you log within the app
- Budget Builder inputs — income, expenses and lifestyle spending — used only to generate your savings estimate
- Any messages or content you submit to Coach
- Support Crew invitations and linked supporter relationships
- Names and contact details of invited Support Crew members where provided by you
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Device type, operating system and app version
- IP address and approximate location at country and state level only
- App usage data including screens visited, features used and session duration
- Push notification interaction data
- Cookies and similar tracking technologies when using our website
2.3 Information from third parties
If you connect with Save Save via Apple Sign In or Google Sign In, we receive your name and email address from those providers as permitted by their terms.
Where you interact with retail partner offers through Save Save, our affiliate network partner may provide us with transaction confirmation data including sale amount and retailer category. We do not receive your payment details.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information to:
- Create and manage your Save Save account
- Display and update your savings goal progress and deposit tracker
- Calculate and display your Save Save Points balance
- Generate your Budget Builder savings estimate and projected goal date
- Deliver Coach messages, check-ins and personalised savings guidance
- Send push notifications and email communications relevant to your account and goal
- Surface relevant retail partner offers and deals within the app
- Process Save Save Points redemptions
- Improve the Save Save platform, features and user experience
- Meet our legal and compliance obligations
- Respond to your enquiries and support requests
- Facilitate Support Crew participation and goal support features
- Notify users and Support Crew members about goal milestones, points activity and participation updates
We do not use your information to assess your creditworthiness, arrange loans or provide regulated financial advice. Save Save is a savings and rewards platform only.
4. Understanding Saver Behaviour and Platform Improvement
To improve Save Save and better support our community of savers, we may analyse information about how users interact with the platform.
This may include:
- Savings goals selected
- Goal progress and milestone completion
- Budget Builder activity
- Save Save Points activity
- Retail categories and reward activity
- Coach interactions
- Platform usage patterns and feature engagement
- Support Crew participation
We may use this information to:
- Improve the Save Save experience
- Develop new features and services
- Better understand savings behaviours and goal completion trends
- Personalise content, challenges, reminders and recommendations
- Identify when users may be approaching significant financial milestones, such as becoming ready to explore home ownership options
Save Save may use account activity, goal progress and platform engagement information to determine whether information, tools or services offered by related Chillcrest Pty Ltd businesses may be relevant to a user's stated goals. Users are under no obligation to engage with any related service.
Save Save forms part of the broader Chillcrest Pty Ltd ecosystem. We may use information relating to your goals, progress, engagement and platform activity to identify tools, features, content or services that may be relevant to your stated objectives. This may include services related to saving, budgeting, home ownership, borrowing readiness or financial education. Any engagement with a related service is entirely optional.
We may create aggregated, de-identified and statistical insights from user activity to better understand consumer behaviour, savings habits, goal completion trends, retail engagement patterns and product usage. These insights may be used to improve Save Save, related Chillcrest Pty Ltd products and future services. Aggregated information does not identify individual users.
Where possible, we use aggregated and de-identified information when analysing broader user trends. We do not sell personal information to third parties.
5. Coach and AI Functionality
Coach is an AI-powered savings guide available within Save Save. Coach is designed to support habit formation, accountability and goal tracking. When you interact with Coach, your messages and account context — your goal, progress and savings history — are processed to generate personalised responses and check-in messages.
To support Coach functionality, certain information you provide may be securely processed by trusted technology providers operating in Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States and the European Union for the purpose of generating responses, supporting platform functionality and assisting with your use of the platform.
Coach provides general savings information, motivation and accountability support only. Coach does not provide financial advice, credit assistance or any regulated service. Nothing Coach says should be relied upon as personal financial advice.
We take reasonable steps to minimise the personal information shared with technology providers and do not share sensitive financial documents or identity documents through Coach.
6. Voice Interactions with Coach
Where voice functionality is available, Save Save may process voice recordings to convert speech into text and generate responses from Coach.
Voice recordings may be transmitted through trusted technology providers for the purpose of speech recognition and response generation.
Unless otherwise disclosed at the time of recording, voice recordings are not retained after processing is completed.
The text transcript of your interaction, together with Coach responses and associated account activity, may be stored as part of your account history to support continuity of your experience, future conversations and service improvement.
7. Platform Activity Records
To provide the Save Save service, maintain platform security and improve user experiences, we may retain records of activity undertaken within the platform. This may include:
- Account creation and profile updates
- Goal creation and changes
- Savings entries and milestone achievements
- Save Save Points activity
- Reward redemptions
- Coach conversations and interactions
- Support Crew invitations and participation
- Notification interactions
- Feature usage and navigation activity
- Login, authentication and security events
These records help us operate the platform, investigate issues, improve functionality, detect fraud, measure engagement and provide support to users.
8. Service Providers
We may use trusted Australian and international service providers to assist with authentication, cloud hosting, analytics, rewards processing, customer support and artificial intelligence functionality.
These providers are engaged to assist us in delivering the Save Save platform and are required to handle your information in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy. They do not have permission to use your information for their own purposes.
Where information is processed overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure those providers maintain security standards appropriate for handling your information and consistent with applicable Australian privacy obligations.
If our business is sold, merged or restructured, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. Where required, we will notify you.
9. Data Security
We apply the following security measures to protect your personal information:
- Encrypted data transmission for all communications between the app and our servers
- Encrypted password storage — your password is never stored in readable form
- Role-based access controls limiting internal access to personal data
- Secure cloud infrastructure
- Authentication controls including device biometric support
No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete or de-identify your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain records.
Budget Builder inputs are used to generate your savings estimate. Where you save your budget within the app, this information is retained as part of your account. Where you do not save your budget, inputs are not retained beyond your session.
11. Save Save Points
Save Save Points are a loyalty reward issued by Chillcrest Pty Ltd. They are not a financial product, not a deposit, and not cash. Points are recorded in your account and reflect your activity on the Save Save platform.
Points may be redeemed for gift cards or may be eligible for promotional benefits offered from time to time by Chillcrest Pty Ltd, subject to separate terms and conditions.
12. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
- Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal retention obligations
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time
- Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you believe we have mishandled your personal information
To exercise any of these rights, contact our Privacy Officer at info@savesave.com.au with the subject line matching your request — for example, Data Access Request, Data Correction Request or Data Deletion Request. We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days.
13. Cookies
Our website at savesave.com.au uses cookies and similar technologies to improve functionality and understand how visitors interact with our site. Cookies do not contain personal information themselves but may be combined with other information to identify you. You may disable cookies through your browser settings. This may affect some website functionality but will not affect your ability to use the Save Save mobile app.
14. Children
Save Save is not intended for use by persons under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us at info@savesave.com.au and we will delete the account promptly.
15. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or by email. The current version is always available at savesave.com.au/privacy. Continued use of Save Save after notification of changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
